Outrace Epilepsy! is a family friendly event to raise epilepsy awareness and funds for our free services. Many participants form teams and collect donations in honor of a loved one with epilepsy. We also encourage you to wear purple, the official color of epilepsy awareness!
Registration includes event swag, water on and off the course, and free admission to the zoo after the event! We will present medals to the top finishers overall and by age and gender. The top fundraising team will also be recognized and presented an award at the end of the event.
2025 Race & Fundraising Results
Thank you for supporting last year’s Outrace Epilepsy! 1-mile, 5K, and 10K race/walk. We had a great day with over 590 participants at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo! Thanks to our generous supporters, we raised over $40,000 for local epilepsy programs and services. That’s $12,000 more than we raised in 2024! 2025’s race was one for the record books, and we hope you’ll help us break records again in 2026!

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the teams Luke’s Troops and Love for Lily, Luka, and Lucy. These two groups combined brought around 200 participants with them to Outrace Epilepsy!
Luke’s Troops raised $5,150, and Love for Lily, Luka, and Lucy raised $4,450! The Epilepsy Association cannot thank these two teams enough for their HUGE contribution to local epilepsy services and awareness! These two groups of families and friends inspire us, and are a great example of what can be achieved when we work together for epilepsy awareness!
