Family & Kids Program

The Epilepsy Association has a new service for families.  The Kids and Family Program helps parents with community resources connections, and overcoming obstacles in managing a child’s epilepsy.  The service can take place in the comfort of your own home, and is provided by a case-manager.  Please call the agency to set up a consultation.

This program is designed to quickly assess the family situation and connect them to community resources that can best address their individual needs.  Services consist of 3 visits

  • 1st session -case manager visits the family in their home to learn of the challenges that the family is encountering and identify needs that each family member has related to coping with a child/sibling with epilepsy.
  • 2nd session -case manager will report back to the family on community resources to address the needs identified in the first session and providing contact information.
  • 3rd session –Case Manager assesses how the family is doing with respect to contacting the resources provided in the second session and a final check in.

At the end of the service the family will have a packet of information to keep as a reference on what was discussed during the three visits and the contact information provided.
