This unique fundraiser is entering its 4th year. Participants are motivated to join
the Epilepsy Association’s Virtual Runner Team to raise awareness of epilepsy
and support the programs and services of the Epilepsy Association. Team members run in any race during
the competition time period. Races

Our youngest runner is 6 year’s old; our oldest only admits to seven decades! Virtual Runners come from all walks of life. They are attorneys, bankers, teachers, students and so on.Members are serious or casual runners; and share a common goal of dedicating 13 weeks each fall to bring about greater awareness of epilepsy and to raise funds for epilepsy community services.
Virtual Runners run for their friends, they run for loved ones, they run for themselves, but mostly they run because they want to be apart of a team that is helping to improve the lives of individuals who have epilepsy.Epilepsy affects 3 in every 100 people.
Once you have registed to be a Virtual Runner, any race in which you participate in between August 1 and October 31, 2012 will cound toward your race miles. Virtual Runners submit their race miles on-line. Runners who raise at least $150 will be recognized as Elite Team Members and receive a short sleeve technical running shirt.
The runners in the Adult and Youth age group (17 and under as of August 1, 2012) who raise the most funds or race the most miles will be awarded prizes.
The top fundraiser and top miles raced Adult runners will also recieve two complimentary tickets to the Epilepsy Association's Annual Gala on November 9, 2012 at the Riotz Carlton in Downtown Cleveland.
