What is the Virtual Runner?

This unique fundraiser is entering its 4th year.  Participants are motivated to join the Epilepsy Association’s Virtual Runner Team to raise awareness of epilepsy and support the programs and services of the Epilepsy Association.  Team members run in any race during the competition time period.  Races can be held anywhere in the world and are not limited to those in the Cleveland, Ohio.  Runners log their race miles on-line, solicit donations and help the Epilepsy Association turn those miles into money to support programs and services for individuals affected by epilepsy.

Virtual Runner's Reach

Who Are Virtual Runners

Our youngest runner is 6 year’s old; our oldest only admits to seven decades! Virtual Runners come from all walks of life. They are attorneys, bankers, teachers, students and so on.Members are serious or casual runners; and share a common goal of dedicating 13 weeks each fall to bring about greater awareness of epilepsy and to raise funds for epilepsy community services.

Virtual Runners run for their friends, they run for loved ones, they run for themselves, but mostly they run because they want to be apart of a team that is helping to improve the lives of individuals who have epilepsy.Epilepsy affects 3 in every 100 people.
